Search Engine Optimization Doesn’t Change — It’s normal for (so called) SEO’s to blog, based on what they see ”surrounding professionals talking about”. A wide spectrum of opinions, justifications and personal defense in the latest round of Google’s algorithmic link filtering. For someone who is seeking to educate their self — this is a prime example of the blind leading the blind.
You wonder why so many (so called) webmasters are in belief that Blackhat SEO still works (when done correctly)… SEO isn’t dead, fact is — not many SEO’s truly understand what SEO is or how SEO is done.
Simply because your link spam strategies no longer work, does not mean that SEO has changed. Just because you can no longer perform keyword research using Google’s Keyword Suggestion Tool (not available to non-Adwords clients anymore). Just because you can’t review your Google Analytics “Not provided” Organic Search Engine traffic stats anymore (although both resources are still available to Google customers) doesn’t mean SEO has changed.
Search Engine Optimization has not changed. SEO has improved. Search Engine manipulation has became much more difficult over the years, making SEO that much more detailed and to the point. SEO now a days is more legitimate, without all the Blackhat crap being so relevant.
In my opinion — these changes assure that the SEO client is getting his/her money worth. The only thing that has changed is; Google is doing everything in their power to continue to target, pin point and get rid of the bullshit that once dominated search and manipulated searchers, consumers and everyone else.
All in all — Google’s changes have improved search, as a whole, including those of use SEO’s who work to improve the entire search optimization experience. Search Engine Optimization Doesn’t Change — it just gets better, as time passes.
The next time someone tells you that SEO is dead, run away from them as fast as you can.
Keep it simple…
